“To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” – Ecclesiastes 3:1
We are back in our home state of Arkansas.
Our internet at our last location in Louisiana became unreliable, plus it was getting hot down in Southern Louisiana. Between the heat, the bugs, and the internet we were dwindling and melting quickly. Although I am missing Cajun food and the plentiful ingredients that inhabit the grocery stores down South. I stocked up on several things before we left.
Our daughter Emily is getting married this October so it was easiest for mom and dad to come home until mid-October and then decide where our travels will take us next.
We are staying at our favorite campground, Denton Ferry RV Park on the White River in Cotter, Arkansas. The White River is a beautiful body of water that flows a total of 700 miles starting in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and meandering up through Missouri and then back down through Arkansas. The White River along Cotter, Bull Shoals, Buffalo City, and beyond is known for world-class trout fishing. It draws people in from all over. The river offers a constant temperature of a cool 52-55 degrees.
It is wondrous to watch the fog roll and cover the top of the White River in the evenings. On hot summer days, it feels good to be near the bank and feel a gentle, cool breeze blow in.
We will be sharing our adventures while we are back in our home state of local landmarks, rivers, lakes, hikes, life, and awesome views.
